SENIOR ACCOUNTING MANAGER Post Date: 24 Apr 09
Description:
Reporting to the Regional Finance Director, the senior Accounting
Manager is responsible for the overall Accounting & Tax function in
the company.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
1.
Coordinates and manages the general accounting function, and
ensures the accuracy of the ledger accounts and financial statements.
2.
Formulates and administers approved accounting practices.
3.
Responsible for monthly financial statements and monthly
financial reporting.
4.
Responsible for the reconciliation of all balance sheet accounts
and all income and expense accounts on a monthly basis.
5.
Ensure all accounting and financial reports are accurate in
accordance with generally accepted accounting principles and internal
policies and procedures.
6.
Responsible for the preparation of the annual financial audits
and tax packages.
7.
Manage the day-to-day activities of the general accounting and tax staff.
8.
Manage the tax compliance process and manage tax audits.
9.
Manage all payments (supplier, salaries etc) and ensure good
control and compliance with internal and external policies.
REQUIREMENTS:
*
Bachelor degree in accounting.
*
Min 35 years old.
*
5 – 10 years of related Accounting and Tax experience.
*
Good knowledge of Tax.
*
Strong communication skills.
*
Good command of written and spoken English.
*
Ability to establish and meet deadlines, work under pressure and
handle multiple priorities.
*
CPA preferred.
